To understand the training methods I will give for each sport it is important to note how and why we build muscle, as well as how muscle plays a great impact on physical activities. The building/increase of muscle takes place due to physical activities which ‘induces adaptive changes in the skeletal muscle,’ (H Matoba And P D Gollnick, 1984). This change takes place because when doing strenuous physical activities our muscle fibres experience micro tears, these tears would then be fused together by new proteins in a process known as muscle protein synthesis, (Medical News Today Editors, 2020), (Victoria Hoff,). This neuroadaptive response can play a great part in any sport we choose to immerse ourselves in, as it provides a myriad of benefits such as an improvement in muscular strength, the ability to produce more force, the ability to be less prone to injuries, and possibly even greater endurance, (Timothy J Suchomel, ET AL, 2016).
